Description

Don’t Go Changing Soho is a tribute song to London’s Soho.  Starting with the birth of British Rock ‘n’ Roll at the famous 2i’s Coffee Bar in 1957, Soho continued to be a platform for new music, art and fashion for over half a century. Only one square mile on the planet can boast the unique launch of 50’s British rock ‘n’ roll, 60’s  fashion (Carnaby Street), 70’s punk, 80’s New Romantic, 90’s Britpop, the Hirst/Emin art scene and the influence of artists like Paloma Faith, The Libertines and Alexander McQueen in the 2000’s.  Written and conceived by long standing Soho resident, singer songwriter and founder of Save Soho, Tim Arnold, the song celebrates Soho’s rich cultural history, with hope expressed for it’s future by some of the artists who made Soho what it became. We hope the song inspires a regeneration of performing arts spaces for all tomorrow’s Soho Heroes.

The song is free to download, however, we hope in exchange for this Christmas gift, you may support some of Soho’s great institutions, (both old and new) by visiting some of these links. Also Streaming here.
