Excited to be rehearsing with the girls tonight. Still trying to decide what to play at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eastfinchleyartsfestival.org.uk\">arts festival<\/a> for the two-album show.\u00a0 And still not sure if I will manage to shave off my goatee and moustache in the interval to transform into <a href=\"https:\/\/timarnold.co.uk\/the-soho-hobo\/\">The Soho Hobo<\/a>, as well as getting into the tie-bar, cuff link, knitted tie and Mark Powell suit in time.\u00a0 It\u2019s lasted well that suit \u2013 I bought it in 2012.\u00a0Maybe I should rehearse shaving and time it?\u00a0Need to do something about the Save Soho film too.\u00a0 Can\u2019t believe it\u2019s been sitting there for over a year now.<\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Bouncing stems for another album.\u00a0 Also mixing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jonathanhillofficial.com\">Jono<\/a>\u2019s next <a href=\"https:\/\/timarnold.co.uk\/sound-to-pictures\/\">Sounds To Pictures<\/a> album.\u00a0 My brain is aching from vintage violin sounds. Editing a video of his version of <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/c7goTsUIx6M\">What Love Would Want<\/a> to a slideshow of Andy Fallon\u2019s portraits.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/SYSkxItNJGI\">It\u2019s beautiful.<\/a><\/h3>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Sat down in the studio to record Kathy\u2019s song today.\u00a0 Started off thinking it would be a very rough round the edges Lennon \u2018Give Peace a Chance\u2019 clattering acoustic guitar and claps vibe, but then I wasn\u2019t too sure.\u00a0 The words sound too hymn-like.\u00a0 What is it with writing these hymn like songs?\u00a0 What Love Would Want is like that.\u00a0 Maybe I could get a paid job with the church?\u00a0 They have money after all.\u00a0 I remember when I was signed to V2 and I had a song called \u2018Dancing With Jesus\u2019 and a music industry person said \u2018nah, it\u2019s too religious Tim\u2019.\u00a0 Maybe this is where I have been going wrong all these years?\u00a0 But where would you go if you wanted to be a jingle writer for God?<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Vi_OiVRFXSw\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Anyway, the song is definitely not 100% churchlike, but it does sound like something children might sing around the piano in the assembly hall. \u00a0I wrote it the day I found out that Kathy had lost her home in a fire. \u00a0Although I thought about her and her mother when I was writing it, I also thought about all the people who had lost their homes this year. \u00a0People who have lost their way and need someone to help them get back on track again. \u00a0It&#8217;s a simple song really, that means something to me. I hope I manage too record it as I imagine it.<\/h3>\n<h3>My left hand is rotten on piano, so I called Graeme Taylor and asked him point blank if he could record piano in his studio on my new song and send it over to me, as a favour.
