THE PROJECT

‘What Love Would Want’ is a song by UK solo artist Tim Arnold (watch the original video here). It’s also a multimedia creative project encompassing a music video directed by Arnold and a series of photographic portraits by UK photographer Andy Fallon that celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of love, all inspired by the song.

The birth of the project began on a single day in London’s Soho, April 2017 which welcomed over thirty couples – straight, gay, lesbian, trans, mixed race, interracial – and of all ages, including actor Stephen Fry and his husband. The song and the video have since gone on to support Amnesty International’s campaign Love Is A Human Right. A second version of the video was made in Toronto and released this year.

This Summer, the project will be re-created live on stage at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall to conclude in the evening with a live performance of the song by Tim, a chamber choir and world class performance artist, and David Bowie mentor, Lindsay Kemp.
